EEEP GUYSSS<3
For once, I'd have to give myself a pat on the back for this piece, because I'm rather proud of it c':
Yes, the background could still use some extra work, but overall, I'm really happy with how this came out<33

This is a scene from an RP with the dear ~Tailwalker, of my character Saudi and her Autumn c:

~Tailwalker
Autumn had raised her head to look towards the city, considering taking the long walk to the ruins before deciding against it, lowering her head once more and resuming her grazing. Her ears kept swiveling in all directions, listening for the slightest sound of any being approaching. Occasionally she would raise her head enough to sniff the breeze. The chestnut mare's senses always seemed to be on hyperdrive.
Some would wonder why she would keep guard so much. She was rarely in the company of another horse anyways. Ever since her arrival in the Olde Herd about three years prior, she'd been stand-offish. Some of the older horses had a feeling of what she'd been through by the 'X' shaped scar on her forehead, while others remained oblivious, but curious as to why the beautiful mare did not want to be around anyone.
As she raised her head a bit more to smell the air and check the landscape around her, a fresh scent wafted to her nose. Not that of a cougar, though. Definitely not a cougar. She thought for a moment and deducted it could only be a horse. In the distance she could see a golden silhouette moving towards her. Had it been any other horse, she'd pinned her ears and backed off.
"It's only Saudi," she said to no one in particular and lowered her head once more.

Saudi noticed the actions of Autumn as he neared her, and he huffed to himself. Although he didn't quite enjoy the presence of horses either, he did know that Autumn usually didn't like to be around anyone, which he could understand. The Gods only knew what on Earth went on at the Bachelor Herd; things he wished to not know of.
He felt relieved though, special almost, knowing that Autumn had realized he was there but she had decided to stay. He finally reached hearing distance of her, and he offered a welcoming neigh. He pricked his ears for the hopeful sounds of a greeting as well.

~Tailwalker
Autumn's ears swiveled in the direction of Saudi upon hearing his friendly greeting. She looked up for a moment and nickered back at him. Whether she was heard or not, she didn't know, but she did toss her head some in acknowledgement in case he didn't hear her. The simple action sent her reddish forelock flying and even landing in front of her eyes, which made her huff and shake the hair away from them and watch as Saudi came toward her.
If Autumn called anyone a friend here, it would definitely be Saudi. He was the first horse, and definitely the first stallion, other than the leaders, Vasska and Blossom, she'd spoken to in the herd. Granted, he was no Granger. No one would replace her childhood friend. But he was still kind and one of the few horses she didn't mind being around if she had to be with other horses.

Saudi heard the gentle nickering welcome of Autumn, and he almost smiled at the sound. Out of all his herd members, Saudi definitely referred to Autumn as a friend; someone he could enjoy the presence of. Even though they themselves rarely had conversations, Saudi and Autumn seemed to share an invisible, quiet bond only they could share. Even without words, he could feel their friendship, like silent strings holding them together in the silence.
Autumn was also a tender soul, like Saudi himself, and he had noticed the day they met so long ago, that she rarely talked to anybody in her adopted family. He didn't mind though, he loved the quietness between them. As he became closer to Autumn, he somewhat bowed to her, offering a silent hello to his friend. With that, he lowered his head to the ground and began to graze. The sun's light had begun to drift away, and the sunset started up it's breathtaking color scheme. The wind blew around the two herd mates, and the chirping of birds nearby quieted down their surroundings.
As if they were the only two beings in the world.

~Tailwalker
Autumn couldn't help but allow herself a soft smile as Saudi grazed with her. Something about just being with him reminded her of the actual good times she had during her teenage years. There were no words needed to communicate. The silence was enough. The only sound was the occasional snort of air and the pulling and chomping of the sweet grass of the Island of Olde. The colors of the sunset peeked from behind the thick cloud cover and bathed the land in orange light.
And Autumn wouldn't have traded it for the world.
